Alex is known for his love & knowledge of native plants & pollinators, hours spent in the garden, and enthusiasm for ecological restoration. As a graduate of UT Knoxville’s Masters of Landscape Architecture program, a former Americorps volunteer for urban agriculture non-profit CAC Beardsley Community Farm, and small business owner, Alex has and continues to do his best to contribute to the neighborhoods and ecological vibrancy of Knoxville, TN.

We get our hands on a lot of plants; whether that's holding stock from a nursery before a project, or growing inventory from seed for future designs. Whichever it is, Lux's organization, care and attention to detail makes sure that only healthy, beautiful plants make their way into new gardens. Outside of work hours, Lux grows an enormous vegetable garden, throws pottery, and takes care of the world's cutest chihuahua.
